“A federal grand jury in Houston has indicted a man for sex trafficking in a case involving a 15-year-old girl who prosecutors say was forced into prostitution.
Twenty-four-year-old Alexander Joseph Johnson of Houston remains in federal custody following his arrest Aug. 6.
Authorities say the teenager was forced to have sex with strangers and give her money to Johnson. They say he advertised the girl online, making her available in Houston and Colorado.
The girl was ordered to earn at least $500 an evening. Authorities say Johnson gave the girl marijuana and alcohol, and only provided food at his discretion.
A charge of sex trafficking is punishable by a minimum of 10 years in prison.”
