“Washington Anti-Trafficking Response Network has been working closely with the University of Washington’s Pivot Project since 2012 to develop discreet outreach materials to help potential victims of human trafficking get information on their rights and seek services. The new tools, in the form of feminine hygiene pads, were finalized earlier this year and production and distribution has already started! 1,000 pads have been distributed throughout Washington State by Pivot Project and WARN partners. We want to produce and distribute more of these, and not just in Washington State. Pivot Project just launched a crowdfunding campaign on Indiegogo to raise funds for this effort. They are hoping to raise enough money to produce and distribute 20,000 pads (or, more!) by the end of the year.”
