PORNOGRAPHY & TRAFFICKING EVENT

The Reproduction of Harm:Trafficking, Prostitution, and Pornography organized by Seattle Against Slavery

Speaker: Peter Qualliotine,
Co-Founder of Organization for Prostitution Survivors (OPS)

There are multiple connections between trafficking, prostitution, and pornography. We will examine the consequences for victims/survivors of commercial sexual exploitation and for buyers/consumers of commercial sex, and also the implications of trafficking, prostitution, and pornography for broader societal concerns about sex equality, sexual violence, and human rights.

Peter Qualliotine is the co-founder of Organization for Prostitution Survivors (OPS), a Seattle-based group dedicated to stopping the harm of commercial sexual exploitation. Since the early 90s, he has advocated for victims of this form of exploitation and has worked to promote male accountability in stopping violence against women and children.
